Hola… El domingo pasado, después del Día del Maestro, en homenaje a ellos te comentaba la historia que siempre me contó mi querido amigo, entrañable maestro de maestros, don David Castrad.
Don José Martí escribió algo tan lindo como esto que, a continuación, quiero relatarte: “Educar es depositar en cada hombre toda la obra humana que le ha antecedido; es hacer a cada hombre resumen del mundo viviente hasta el día en que vive; es ponerlo a nivel de su tiempo, con lo que podrá salir a flote sobre él”.
Si bien es verdad que el domingo pasado referíamos la historia y la anécdota del Día del Maestro, esperé hoy para explayarme un poco sobre una tarea que, durante toda mi vida, tanto como en la etapa de alumno como en la etapa de maestro y en estos últimos años como ejecutor de políticas magisteriales y responsable del colegio San Agustín, me lleva a pensar cómo, a lo largo de mi vida, no quedaron en mí aquellos maestros sabios en la cátedra, pero pobres en la cercanía. No quedaron aquellos maestros que ilustraron mi mente, pero se olvidaron de barnizar mi corazón y es que, pasados los años y cuando ya he cumplido más de 60, viendo en el crisol de la vida lo más auténtico de ella, resalta claramente que quienes supieron respetarme y darme lo mejor de ellos, hoy en mi alma tienen un lugar especial y único.
Hace varios domingos, al término de nuestra conversación, te suelo dejar con esta frase: “En tu trabajo eres uno más, en tu hogar eres único”. Sirva esta reflexión para agradecer a cada uno de nuestros Maestros del Perú, que no son uno más en la empresa educativa, sino que son únicos en la misión de engrandecer el alma y, sobre todo, el alma de aquellos que siendo niños han sentido lacerados sus corazones por el abandono físico, moral y afectivo de quienes tuvieron la responsabilidad de amarlos; sin embargo, los abandonaron a su destino.
Es por ello que, después de una semana de la celebración por el Día del Maestro, levanto la bandera de la gratitud por quienes cada día inscriben en el corazón de sus alumnos la palabra AMOR.
A todos los MAESTROS, bendiciones del cielo y protección de nuestra Madre, la Virgen Santísima.
